| Why Support the NRWA? |
|
The NRWA spearheaded the clean-up of the Nashua River, from the 1960s when it was a pumpkin-colored, malodorous river unfit for any use, to its present condition brimming with life, offering clean water for businesses, residents and wildlife. Today, the NRWA provides stewardship of the natural resources that make the Nashua River watershed an attractive place to live and work for the business community's employees and customers. We help local officials plan for growth in our rapidly developing area of north central Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire. We educate the public and private sectors about why a clean river, adequate water supply and responsible land use are good for business, good for communities, and good for the environment.
