Using experimentation and observation skills, participants will explore soil by visiting stations set up around the library classroom and interacting with materials. Soil stations include: Soil Alive!; In the Mix: Making Soil; A Worm’s Eye View: Up Close and Personal with Soil, Clay, and Sand; How Water Shapes the World: Erosion Experiments; Touchpoints: How Soil is Made; Erosion Test; Life Below the Surface; Water Holding Properties: Compare & Contrast Analysis. This free program is open to the public, funded by the Greater Worcester Community Foundation, Rosemary Davis Memorial Fund.
