NRWA Public Programs on Land Use/Smart Growth

Every year the NRWA presents dozens of programs that are open to the public, most of which are free of charge, and many of which focus on topics related to land use planning and smart growth. 2008 Land Use/Smart Growth Presentations

Maintenance, Inspection, and Enforcement of Stormwater Requirements in New Hampshire with Todd Dresser and Rich Niles- workshop for town officials, boards, and committees.

Defining and Preserving the Rural Character of New England with Robert L. Ryan, PhD on managing new development to preserve our rural landscapes. Funded by a Groton Cultural Council grant*.

Massachusetts River Protection Act with Jennifer Gensel to introduce Conservation Commissions, Planning Boards, and local citizens to this act that applies to all rivers and perennial streams in Massachusetts, and its relationship to the Wetlands Protection Act.

Eco-Landscaping with Mark Saydah and Angela Seaborg to explore ways to develop and maintain residential landscapes while preserving water quality, natural hydrology, and protect biodiversity.
