More about Stream Teams: |

|
 |
|
Stream Teams are action-oriented, informal groups of local citizens who are concerned about water quality and wise land use. Stream Team members are people who want to protect and restore water and land resources in their Nashua River watershed communities.
Stream Teams adopt a local stream or section of the Nashua River and act as stewards and advocates for the waterway. By joining a Stream Team, you can help protect water quality, open space, and wildlife habitat from the increasing impacts of growth in our region.

Some of the team activities are:
- Conducting shoreline surveys by walking or canoeing sections of the river to observe and record conditions.
- Making recommendations for improvement to municipal leaders and interested residents.
- Organizing clean-ups and public awareness programs.
For information about forming or joining a Stream Team, please call Al Futterman, NRWA's Land Programs and Outreach Director, at 978/448-0299 or e-mail alfutterman@nashuariverwatershed.org.
