Goal for Land Managers and Stewards section of this Plan
The goal for this section of the Plan is to help conservation organizations, businesses, farmers, and others who manage and steward larger areas of land consider Nature-based Solutions (NbS) to increase their climate resilience. This section provides information on ways to protect landscapes that are currently highly functional for resilience, as well as recommended Best Management Practices to improve climate resilience for various sectors of land use.
How to use this Plan section
This section is organized by Management/Stewardship Goals. Many of NRWA’s existing programs and emerging projects are relevant to land managers/stewards seeking to improve climate resilience, and we welcome conversations about your goals and needs. We encourage you to also explore our Municipal Officials/Professionals of our Plan for topic areas that may be of additional interest. Maps in our Watershed-wide Map Atlas can also be of interest in learning more about watershed land cover, forestlands and wetlands, soil characteristics, ecological priorities, and more.
