Fall is a beautiful time to paddle on our local rivers with fall foliage and migratory birds! On Wednesday, September 24th, at 7:00 pm, you’re invited to join us for a free virtual “Paddling 101” presentation and discussion about the joys and challenges of paddling. Our presenter will be Stacey Chilcoat, ACA paddling instructor and naturalist. This program will include learning about equipment & safety, paddling options and accessibility, fun paddling trips for all ages, and best practices when exploring the diverse habitats of our local rivers. The presentation will also include an introduction to NRWA’s new online paddling maps for those looking for easy/family-friendly flatwater adventures.
Stacey has extensive experience paddling our local rivers, and sharing her passion through experiential education programs. She led NRWA’s signature River Classroom program for more than two decades.
Registration is required; register online today. A Zoom link will be provided to all registrants.
Whether you enjoy getting out on the water for nature observation, distance paddling exercise, or relaxation, this program will help to prepare you for the best possible experience on our rivers!
This free presentation was made possible in part by a grant from the National Park Foundation.
